Scariolo: “We played really well in attack”
“We've got to be pleased. In terms of basketball, we're growing as we thought we would,” explained the coach after the victory in El Clásico.
Sergio Scariolo analysed Real Madrid's victory against Barcelona at the Palau Blaugrana on Euroleague matchday nine: “We played very well in attack, following the game plan, with great concentration and seeking out the best shots. We had a high success rate and knew how to move the ball. Not always, obviously, because we're still in November”.
“Defensively, we had some very good moments and some phases where we can do better, but we have to take into account that Barcelona as a whole are a great team and the Palau is an environment that really supports its players. We've to be happy. In basketball terms, we're growing as we thought we would. Today we've taken another step forward in maturity and mental strength”.
Away win
“It's good because we now have a run of away games and we have to feel capable. And that's done by maintaining control. Today we had some difficult moments, but they didn't last as long as in other games, which had been the problem we'd had. We started well, as always, and we continued well too".
