Scariolo: “Rebound control in the second half was key”
“We were prepared for a tough game because we know that Asvel is a very athletic team,” added the coach after the victory.
Sergio Scariolo analysed Real Madrid’s victory away against Asvel Villeurbanne, on matchday 20 of the EuroLeague. The coach said: “We were prepared for a tough game. Obviously, we had seen their last games against very high-level teams like Anadolu Efes. We know that playing here is very difficult. Asvel is a very athletic team and you have good shooters like Watson or Heurtel.”
“We had to dig in because we were a bit angry after the defeat a few days ago. When we did, we controlled the rebounding and that was probably the number one key. Then, the shots were going in more than in the first half.”
