Procida: "It's an honour to play for the best team in Europe"
"I'm looking forward to playing under Scariolo and I'm going to give one hundred percent to help the team win titles," explained the new Real Madrid player.
Gabriele Procida is now a Real Madrid player. The Italian forward gave his first interview to Realmadrid TV: "Real Madrid is a historic club, one of the best, if not the best. When I knew they were interested in me, I didn't listen to any other option because I was clear about what I wanted to do."
"At first, I could hardly believe it was true when Madrid called me. I was training in Pescara with some teammates from the national team, and I was overjoyed. I shared it with my family. It's time for me to be in a great team and to take the winning mentality of Real Madrid, which is the best team in Europe."
What it means to play for Real Madrid
"I'm very proud and grateful to the club for giving me the chance to grow as a player. I think I can grow a lot here and my goal is to learn from the best players who are here and, of course, from the coach."
How can you help the team?
"I can bring a lot of energy, freshness, and positivity. It's going to be a very long season, and we'll have to be positive. I'm young and I have to bring all my energy to the team. I like to play fast. I know the team does too because I've played against them in the past. It'll be good for me to play in transition, and I hope to be ready and take advantage of the opportunities I have to score. My goal is to adapt as quickly as possible to Scariolo's system, to go day by day, and to achieve my goals in training."
