Okeke: "Playing for Real Madrid is going to be a very exciting experience"

Chuma Okeke is now officially a Real Madrid player. The American power forward gave his first interview to Realmadrid TV: "It's going to be a new experience, it's something very exciting for me. What I want is to start and win, and continue to have fun, playing basketball."

"Over the years, I've prepared my body to withstand whatever it takes. I feel like right now it's stronger than ever, I'm in really good shape. I wouldn't say I've reached my peak, but I'm close."

How would you describe yourself on court?
"I'm a very versatile player, I can play in any position, it's something I've done before. I can play from point guard to power forward. I can create plays, lead, score, rebound... I'm supportive, hardworking, I like to play for the team, and obviously I'm a winner."

What had they told you about the club?
"I spoke to Yabusele a little bit. He told me that Real Madrid is a good organisation, the best in the Euroleague, and that I was going to love it. I had already heard about it before I came here, I've spoken to people and I've informed myself."

"I've already seen the excellent facilities that Real Madrid has. Good courts, a good gymnasium, and medical services. Everything I've seen is great."

"It's very competitive and I'm looking forward to playing it and seeing where I fit in this Liga, especially now that it's expanding and growing."
