Real Madrid breaks the record for most wins in the Euroleague Regular Season
Chus Mateo's team have now won 26 games after beating Red Star, surpassing Fenerbahce's 2019 tally.
After beating Red Star at the WiZink Center, Real Madrid became the team with the most wins in a Regular Season in the history of the Euroleague. With 26 wins, our team surpasses the 25 that Fenerbahce achieved in the 2018-19 edition. Chus Mateo's team are having a spectacular Regular Season and at the start of this round they had already secured first place and therefore home-court advantage in the playoffs.
The win over Red Star reaffirms Madrid's dominance in the regular league. They took first place in game five and have not relinquished that position since. Much of the credit for this is due to their great performances at home, where they have achieved a 14-2 record. This record of 26 wins can still be increased in the last two games against Baskonia and Zalgiris.
