Castilla well beaten by Arenas de Getxo

Real Madrid Castilla lost to Arenas de Getxo on matchday 19 of the Primera Federación, which was played at the Gobela Municipal Stadium. The game was a high tempo affair from the start and, in the 18th minute, the home side took the lead with a goal from Mattheus.

The clash grew more complicated for Castilla when, in the space of three minutes, Arenas de Getxo extended their lead through Diocou ('29) and García ('32). Before the break, the home side pulled one back through Yáñez after a fine cross from Diego Aguado. However, in stoppage time, Vizcay made it 4-1 for the Basque side.

Castilla tried to turn the momentum after the restart. In the 65th minute, Mesonero almost scored with a decent free-kick that was deflected for a corner by the keeper. In the following attack, Arbeloa appealed for an FVS review for a handball by Álvarez inside the area, but Pablo Monterrubio did not award a penalty. The scoreline remained unchanged and the team must now turn their attention to their next Primera Federación fixture against Mérida at the Di Stéfano (Sunday 18, 6.15pm).
