Goals from Arribas and an own goal were enough for Raúl's side to overcome Linares.

Castilla cruised past Linares to pick up three important points that send them to the top of Group 1 of the Primera Federación. The reserve team went ahead early on through an own goal in the opening stages of the encounter. Castilla had to wait until stoppage time in the second half to double their lead, as Arribas bagged in the later stages. Raúl's side have now gone 18 games without defeat and are a point clear of Alcorcón at the top of the table.

The madridistas set off on the front foot and the first goal came early. Arribas swung in a corner kick and as Gelardo tried to prevent Marvel's shot, he turned in his own goal to make it 1-0 (13'). Ten minutes later, after a good piece of individual skill, Arribas almost made it two with a shot from the edge of the area that struck the woodwork. Álvaro Rodríguez also went close with a header that flew into the side netting. The reserve team's dominance continued, while Linares were limited to counter-attacks with little joy. The game went into the break with Castilla's just a goal up, despite numerous chances.

The second half began with Arribas again coming close to finding the back of the net with an acrobatic strike which Ernestas cleared off the line. The visitors almost levelled in the 52nd minute, but De Luis stood up well in a one-on-one situation. The Castilla goalkeeper put in an outstanding performance as he kept Linares at bay as they tried to equalise. Arribas put the game to bed in stoppage time with a left-footed strike from the edge of the area. Castilla now top the group and remain unbeaten at the Alfredo Di Stéfano.
