The Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea and Arizona State University have signed an agreement to collaborate with a view to promoting an international mobility programme in Madrid, the project is aimed at students of the Sports Management degree at the American university. The agreement aims to give students practical knowledge from two different perspectives; American and European, of business and leadership strategies through one of the most renowned sporting organisations in the world and the prestigious American university.
Emilio Butragueño, General Manager of the Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea, highlighted the significance of the agreement: “We are honoured to be able to establish this relationship with such a prestigious university such as Arizona State. It is a commitment between both parties which will enable us to offer a unique international educational experience with outstanding and relevant professionals in the sporting world".
Noah Rost, Director of the Office of Global Education at Arizona State University, said: “We are delighted to form this alliance with Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea, we believe it will give our students the chance to study the business of sport and carry out internships with the best organisations. It is an innovative programme that will leave its mark on our students’ careers for years to come.”
Programmes and the Real Madridand experience
The following courses will be included in the agreement for Arizona State University students; Technical Management in Sports Entities, Commercialisation and Marketing in Leisure and Sport, Management of Major Events and Sports Venues, and Commercial Management and Sales Techniques. Additionally, the agreement’s agenda will include visits to Real Madrid’s main sports venues and offer a chance to experience our White Week. Furthermore, they will be able to take advantage of internships in the renowned businesses with which Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea has ties.
