“In an attacking sense, any player can make the difference for us”, added the madridista coach.
Zinedine Zidane appeared in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu to assess his side's win over Sevilla (2-1). The Real Madrid coach explained: “We were a bit leggy in the first half, because then after the break we pressed better high up. Sevilla are a great side if you let them play. We really improved in the second half and the game changed".

“We knew what we had to do and we were committed in our pressing, particularly in our own half. We should be very pleased because we turned the game around”.

Casemiro
“I'm pleased because it's unusual for him to net twice and I'm thrilled. In an attacking sense, any player can make the difference for us. The first was especially brilliant, the way he evaded the second line. I'm happy with his goals and the match is a reflection of how we played in the second half”.

Physical preparations
“Being physically prepared is absolutely fundamental nowadays. Players are machines and they have to be in good physical shape. The game was played at a higher pace today and we were ready for it. We worked hard to be ready for the physical test, and we were better with the ball in the second period”.

The game was played at a higher pace today and we were ready for it.

"Militão is one for the future but also for the present too. He's doing pretty well, he's only young. He has to learn, but he does a lot of good things out there. We're happy with all of the players we've got".

VAR
"I saw the incident for the first goal. It's a block, there's a foul. The referee goes to the VAR and awards the free-kick. For the second one, he doesn't award the handball and there was one, I saw it myself. It's beyond me. I don't give my opinion about what happens out on the pitch. Sometimes they go against you, other times it goes for you. It's a tough job, but they're the ones who make the decisions".

"It was a tough game for everyone. We've got to remember that we were facing a very good side, but the result is a fair reflection of what we saw out there. The issue that Monchi has commented on is his responsibility. I'm nobody to say whether he's right or otherwise. I think what he said was a bit over the top".
