Real Madrid set to face Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona in International Champions Cup

NEWS | 21/03/2017

"We have many supporters in the United States and we'll be delighted to give them the opportunity to share in our passion for the game", stated Emilio Butragueño.
Real Madrid tonight discovered the three opponents they will face during the pre-season International Champions Cup tournament. Just days after it was revealed that next summer will see the staging of a Clásico fixture in Miami, New York's Hudson Yards tonight played host to the ceremony held to present the 2017 International Champions Cup. During the course of the event, the announcement was made that in addition to facing the Azulgranas, the Whites will pit their wits against both Manchester United and Manchester City.

Real Madrid were represented at the ceremony by the club's director of institutional relations, Emilio Butragueño, who declared that: "It's a pleasure to once again be here. We've taken part in this great tournament several times now and it has always been a fantastic experience, which is why we'll be back this summer. We're really happy because it'll once again be a great chance to enhance our relationship with our fans. We're aware that we have many supporters in the United States and we'll be delighted to give them the opportunity to share in our passion for the game".
