A Real Madrid and world basketball legend, Rudy Fernández was one of our team's great leaders and an instrumental figure in one of the most successful periods in the club's history. The Mallorcan small forward, who dazzled fans with his tremendous talent and breathtaking performances on the court, joined the club in 2011. In the 13 seasons he played for Real Madrid, he appeared in 754 games and won 26 trophies: 3 Eurocups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 7 league titles, 6 Copa del Rey trophies and 9 Spanish Super Cups. He was twice named in the All-EuroLeague Team (2012-2013 and 2013-2014), twice in the All-Liga Team (2012-2013 and 2013-2014), MVP of the Spanish Super Cup (2012), MVP of the Copa del Rey (2015) and MVP of the League final (2017-2018).
Rudy came up through the youth ranks at Joventut de Badalona, the club where he made his professional debut and with which he won one Eurocup, one Copa del Rey and one ULEB Cup, as well as being named FIBA Europe's best young player (2006), Eurocup MVP (2006) and EuroLeague best young player (2006-2007), a member of the Liga Endesa's best five in two seasons (2006-2007 and 2007-2008), MVP of the ULEB final (2008) and MVP of the Copa del Rey on two occasions (2004 and 2008).
In 2008, he made the leap to the NBA, where he spent four seasons: three with the Portland Trail Blazers (2008–2011) and one with the Denver Nuggets (2011–2012).
With the Spanish national team, Rudy holds the record for most appearances (266) and is also a legend for becoming the male basketball player who has competed in the most Olympic Games in history: six (Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024).
