The inauguration of a Real Madrid Peña abroad is always a symptom that the white community grows and is willing to accompany the team where it is needed. In addition, if we talk about the birth of a rock in a country, Portugal, which did not have any despite its proximity to Spain, congratulations is double. A premiere that occurred at a particularly sweet moment in regard to Real Madrid's relations with Portugal: the club has been currently with the best Portuguese footballer of today (Figo) and, in addition, at the beginning of the season they landed at the Santiago Bernabéu Queiroz and Peseiro, first and second coach. As Antonio Viñal says, the president of this young Peña, ‘Madrid-Lisboa at the pave's rhythm when there are still enough years to arrive’. It was on December 9, 2003, the date of Real Madrid-Support, when the Estoril-Tamariz Real Real Madrid launched officially. More than one hundred people gathered among members of the rock and friends. There was no lack of representation of the Embassy of our country in Lisbon, nor from the House of Spain, nor the presence of the TVE correspondent, Ramón Font. The act took place in a restaurant whose manager is the son of the one who was in charge for many years of the bars inside the Bernabéu, thus connecting with the ‘intrahistory’ of the club. This rock, formed by Spanish professionals and workers, children of these, Portuguese citizens and other nationalities (English, Argentines, Japanese ... demonstrating the international pull of our team), was born as a necessity, since in Portugal there were none that represented the interests of Real Madrid. Moreover, today is the only platform for support to any Spanish team in this country. Eusebio, a member of honor in his formation also influenced the figure of Eusebio, ‘the greatest footballer in the history of Portugal’, in the words of Antonio Viñal. Thus, with the aim of continuing to reinforce the ties between Real Madrid and Portuguese football, he was appointed honor partner of the Estoril-Tamariz Real Madrid. After the delivery of the official clock of the club, he took the floor and, in an excited speech, showed his admiration for Madrid. ‘Among the many things he said, he explained how the political circumstances of the time prevented his dream of being in our team and had fun with the anecdote of the night: his efforts to preserve Di Stefano's shirt after the 1961 European Cup final, in the midst of an exultant hobby that torn clothes to Jirones,’ he continues his excited president. The Eurocup of 2004, the centenary of Benfica ... will surely bring Real Madrid more to Portuguese football. For his part, Antonio, as the highest representative of La Peña, hopes to meet two objectives: ‘Continue supporting our club from here and represent the values and image of Real Madrid’.
