Real Madrid beat Madrid CFF following a great comeback in the closing minutes of the first game of 2024. Librán put the visitors ahead in the 91st minute, but Alberto Toril's players turned the game around in a spectacular finish. Ivana equalised in the 95th minute and Møller completed the comeback in the 99th minute.

It was the away side who first came close after Racheal's shot from the left was comfortably saved by Misa (10'). Zornoza hit back seven minutes later with a shot in which she appealed for a penalty for a handball by a defender. It was end-to-end football, although despite the high tempo of both sides, the match went into the second half with the score at 0-0.

Following the break, it continued to be an evenly matched affair. Neither side dominated and it wasn't until the 70th minute when the best chances began to come. Olga picked up the ball on the edge of the visitors' box and unleashed a great shot that hit the crossbar and almost bounced over the goal line. And in the 76th minute, Athenea drew Paola's attention with a powerful shot from inside the area that the keeper was able to keep out.

A thrilling finale
The last few minutes of the game produced all the goals of the match. Madrid CFF went ahead in the 91st minute through Librán after latching on to the rebound of an earlier save by Misa. Real Madrid, who never give up, turned the game around in just four minutes. Ivana made it 1-1 in the 95th minute with a header from the heart of the box. And in the 99th minute, Møller's header capped a spectacular fightback and gave our team the first three points of 2024.
