Convincing win and a place in the quarter-finals of the Copa de la Reina

Real Madrid are through to the quarter finals of the Copa de la Reina. Our team beat Betis at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol in a match which they controlled from start to finish. Athenea gave Real Madrid the lead (4') and Toletti scored the second from the penalty spot (44'). In a great second half, Linda C. (70') and Møller (80') widened the gap and Freja Siri closed the scoring in the 81st minute. Toril's side now await their opponents in the next round, which will also be played over a single leg on 7 February.

Real Madrid dominated the game right off the bat. So much so that, in the 4th minute, our team were already in the lead thanks to a powerful shot from the edge of the area by Athenea that flew into the top corner. Although the home side had a couple of chances that were kept out by the Madrid defence, it was Toril's team that had possession throughout the first half. The result was a second goal just before half-time. Linda C. was brought down in the box, the referee awarded a penalty and Toletti converted from the spot (44').

Three goals in the second half
The second half continued in the same vein. Real Madrid controlled the game without suffering in defence and were looking for their third to seal their place in the quarter-finals. The goal came from Linda C., who beat Mieres with another powerful shot from outside the area. Far from being satisfied with the result, our team sought to increase their lead. Ten minutes later, Møller scored the fourth from the edge of the penalty area from Oihane's pass and, finally, Freja Siri rounded off the scoring after a great team move, scoring her first goal as a Madrid player.
