Redondo brace inspires Real Madrid comeback win

Real Madrid produced a superb comeback to take all three points against Levante Badalona in a demanding clash against a side that had not lost at home before today. After Ana González's early goal (19'), the Madridistas equalised courtesy of a powerful header from Feller in the 76th minute and Redondo completed the comeback with a brace in the final minutes of the game.

After a minute's silence for the victims of the DANA, the game kicked off with Real Madrid bossing possession and creating numerous chances. The first goal almost came early on with a shot from Eva Navarro that crashed against the crossbar. As the minutes elapsed, the home side built up momentum and with their first effort, they made it 1-0. Ana González headed Badalona into the lead from a free-kick.

The Whites had several chances before the end of the first half, but attempts from Antonia Silva and Leupolz were off target. In the 65th minute, Redondo was brought down in the box after a challenge by Berta Pujadas after she dribbled in, which left the striker in a good position to shoot. The Madridista appealed for a penalty, but the referee waved it away.

A late fightback in the closing stages
In the 76th minute, Feller levelled the scores with a powerful header from Olga's cross from the wing to the far post. Redondo made it 1-2 after another superb run down the wing by Feller and, in stoppage time, she grabbed her second goal of the game with a powerful strike.
