Real Madrid fail to get off to a winning start

Real Madrid failed to get off to a winning start in their first friendly of the pre-season. Our team, who were without the players who played in the Olympic Games, took on UD Tenerife in the Teide Trophy final played at the Municipal Los Cuartos de La Orotava stadium. María José gave Tenerife the lead in the 78th minute and Madrid equalised in stoppage time with an own goal. The home side went on to win on penalties.

The madridistas are set to play two more matches as part of their preparations for the start of LaLiga F. Their next test will be against Madrid CFF at Real Madrid City on 25 August (9:00pm CEST). After that, they go on to play against Deportivo La Coruña on 1 September (11:00am CEST), in the Galician town of Viveiro, in the Cantarrana Tournament.
