Real Madrid lost on their visit to Paris FC on the third matchday of the Women's Champions League Group Stage. The match did not start well for our team, who conceded two goals in six minutes. The French took the lead in the 4th minute through Dufour and, two minutes later, Thiney netted a second. Gradually, Toril's side began to create danger and Athenea came close to pulling one back in the 26th minute. In the next move, Soyer was penalised for handball in the area, but Nnadozie saved Olga's spot-kick.
Madrid came out in search of a comeback in the second half. In the 50th minute, Raso stole the ball and rounded the keeper in the one-on-one, but her shot went into the side netting. Madrid's goal came two minutes later through Møller. The striker connected with a left-footed finish from Raso's cross to make it 2-1. Real Madrid continued to look for an equaliser and came close in the 74th minute when Zornoza hit the crossbar with a long-range effort. From then on, neither team created any clear-cut chances and the score remained the same until the end.
