Real Madrid continued their impressive start to the season and extended their winning run into October. The Whites beat Valencia for their seventh win on the bounce, their fifth in the Liga F, and remain among the top teams in the standings with a 100%-win record. Olga's first-half goal secured the three points for Madrid, who had numerous chances to add to their lead during the game.

The clash got off to a controversial start after the referee failed to award a foul inside the area by Tamarit on Bruun (4'). This did not deter Madrid, who were back on the attack soon after. Feller played defence-splitting pass to Carolina Weir who rounded the keeper but the defender slid in to turn the ball onto the post and away. Moments later, Olga Carmona drove into the area from the left and her strike took a wicked deflection of Claudia to wrongfoot the goalkeeper and go into the net (1.0).

Madrid in total control
Toril'
s side bossed the possession and played in the opposition half throughout the game. In the 55th minute, the Whites almost doubled their lead after some great link-up play between BruunWeir and Eva Navarro, and the latter's shot was parried away by Canales. Once again the visiting goalkeeper prevented the hosts from making it 2-0 on a couple of occasions. First, she saved a fierce free-kick from Teresa (70‘) and then she produced a fine reflex save from Athenea’s shot. The Valencia keeper was her team's standout performer and, in stoppage time, she produced a spectacular save from Eva Navarro's cross-shot to keep the score at 1-0.
