Real Madrid thrash Granada at the Di Stéfano

Real Madrid among the goals at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. Our team picked up all three points at home against Granada in the matchday 23 league fixture. The madridistas, dominating the game from start to finish, went ahead in the first half thanks to a goal from Linda Caicedo following a great individual play and an own goal. Feller, Bruun and Teresa completed a convincing 5-0 win in the second half.

The team went out in search of a goal from the off and Feller had a chance with a header that sailed over the crossbar (4'). Nine minutes later, Linda Caicedo tried her luck from inside the box, but the keeper pulled off a good save to keep her out. Real Madrid continued to dominate and, in the 27th minute, the Colombian was able to make it 1-0 after a great individual play. Athenea put in a cross into the box just two minutes later, which Alba P. put into her own net as she tried to clear.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first half, with Madrid dominating. The third goal came soon after. Just eight minutes after the break, Svava set up Feller and Feller slotted home from just inside the six-yard box. Granada had their best chance after the hour mark through Lauri, who tried her luck with a long-range shot that struck the crossbar. In the 66th minute, however, Bruun extended Madrid's lead thanks to a fine header from Olga's cross. Teresa made it 5-0 four minutes later with a close-range shot from inside the area.
