Real Madrid got the month of May off to a winning start thanks to another victory. Our team overcame Madrid CFF at the Fernando Torres stadium and picked up their fifth consecutive win in the competition. Zornoza secured the three points for the madridistas with the only goal of the game, scored in the first few minutes of the match. The victory means the team are mathematically assured of second place in the league, earning them a place in the final qualifying round of the Women's Champions League. Toril's side will play a two-legged tie where they will be seeded in the draw.

Real Madrid began the game in the best possible way, taking just seven minutes to go ahead. Teresa delivered a great cross from a set piece that Zornoza nodded past Paola to make it 0-1. Olga went close to doubling Madrid's lead in the 36th minute after a good cross-shot from the edge of the area struck the post. In the 45th minute, Zornoza had another effort with a long-range shot from the edge of the area that flew narrowly wide.

Madrid held on
Following the break, the home side went in search of a way back into the match and, after five minutes, C. Librán challenged Misa with a header that the keeper kept out with a fantastic save. Madrid CFF continued to push forward and, two minutes later, Itziar tried her luck with a shot that sailed over the crossbar. The home side were on the attack but our team looked very solid at the back. Raso could have put the game to bed in the final moments with a shot from inside the area. Ultimately, 0-1 and a fifth win in a row.
