Comeback win on trip to Levante

Real Madrid enjoyed an impressive win at the Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol, coming out on top against Levante on matchday 24 in the League. The madridistas were quickly trailing in the game, as the hosts went ahead inside five minutes through Gabi Nunes. In the second half though, Zornoza a Linda Caicedo brace and M. Oroz sealed the turnaround for Toril's team, before Levante made it 2-4 in the closing stages.

The game immediately became an uphill battle for the madridistas when Levante struck through Gabi Nunes (5’). Olga had a great chance to hit back with 15 minutes on the clock but her effort across goal skimmed narrowly wide of the target. The defender tried her luck again five minutes later when she latched onto Athenea's pass in the area but her effort was cleared off the line by the hosts' defence. Shortly afterwards, Zornoza, from the edge of the box, and Athenea from inside, both had decent efforts saved by Tarazona. On the stroke of half-time Olga was upended by Antonia in the area but the referee opted not to point to the spot.

Real Madrid complete the comeback
Our team stepped it up a notch as the players emerged from the dressing rooms for the second half. The madridistas' persistence paid off with 66 minutes gone, as Feller and M. Oroz linked up beautifully in the box to allow the French ace to cross the ball to where Zornoza was waiting to turn home with her left and make it 1-1. The game wasn't level for long though, and seven minutes later Real Madrid were in front. Having just come off the bench, Linda Caicedo picked up a clearance and drove towards the box, where she unleashed a fierce drive into the top corner that left Tarazona with no chance. Toril's team didn't sit back though and the Colombian went on to bag her brace (86’). Two minutes later, M. Oroz made it four, before Leyre rounded off the scoring to make it 2-4 at the full-time whistle.
