Our team played Champions League Group Stage matchday six at the Di Stéfano.

Real Madrid were unable to close out their participation in this season's Women's Champions League with a win at the Alfredo Di Stéfano. Our team lost to Häcken by a single goal, struck by Kafaji with just over an hour gone. Alberto Toril's team pressed on until the end in search of an equaliser but the game ultimately finished 0-1 to the Swedes.
The game started with our team quickly on top. Kosola came close to turning the ball into her own net from an Athenea strike, but the Swedish goalkeeper did well to keep it out (9’). Häcken began to press higher as time wore on and started posing problems for the madridista defence. Anvegård came within inches of an opener but failed to finish when through one-on-one (18’). Ten minutes later, Jusu fired over, before Madrid had a chance of their own to net before the break. Toletti sent a super ball in behind for Raso, who drove into the box but was unable to beat the visiting shot-stopper.
With 63 minutes on the clock, the Swedish team took the lead with a well-rehearsed move, finished off by Kafaji with her head. The hosts' reaction was immediate, as Bruun got on the end of a corner swung in by Zornoza. With five minutes left to go, Falk did superbly to keep out another Ivana header, but ultimately the visitors clinched the 1-0 to leave with the points. Our team now turn their attentions to Saturday's clash with Valencia (8:30pm CET).
