7-1: Real Madrid hands out a thrashing at the Di Stéfano

Real Madrid with an emphatic victory over Real Sociedad on LaLiga matchday 8 at the Alfredo Di Stéfano. Our team offered up a veritable goalfest to the fans thanks to a brace from Athenea 17' and 36' and goals from Bruun 26', Raso 55', Rocío 65', M. Oroz 76' and Feller 85'. The seventh win of the season and a huge confidence boost for Toril's side ahead of their first Champions League group stage clash against Chelsea Wednesday, 9:00pm CET.

The match started with Real Madrid taking the lead. Our team laid siege to their goal from the outset and could have taken an early lead with chances from Bruun and Linda C. Toril's team tried hard, but it was Athenea who capitalised on a defensive error to open the scoring. Bruun doubled the lead after just ten minutes, coming from behind to convert Olga's cross from the wing. In the 36th minute, Athenea made it 3-0 thanks to a great move which saw her beat Emma with a spectacular cut-back before finishing past Lete.

Four goals in the second half
Just before the break, Real Sociedad pulled one back through N. Eizagirre. The visitors came back into the game after the restart, but Misa kept them in the lead with two fine saves. A long throw by the Madrid goalkeeper set up Raso to score the fourth and put the scoreboard back on level terms. From then on, the goal avalanche continued. Rocío netted the fifth with a header; M. Oroz scored the sixth with a shot inside the area and, finally, Feller closed the scoring for our team against Real Sociedad.
