Alberto Toril and Melanie Leupolz spoke to the press the day before the first match of the Group Stage of the Women’s Champions League (9 pm CEST). The coach discussed the upcoming clash against Chelsea: “We're looking forward to this competition in which we've reached the group stage for the fourth year running. It's not easy to get this far, there are many strong teams that have missed out. We've had a very good start to the season, with a lot of victories and we're feeling very good.”

The opposition
“I'm very happy to return to this stadium and play against a great team. We're thinking about our players, our work and the way we play. We want to show what we do on the pitch and make it difficult for Chelsea. They're going to be great opponents, but I think we have the ability to play well here and get a positive result.”

On what he expects from his team tomorrow
“I want us to show character and competitive ability, to think about ourselves and to enjoy the game. We don't want the stadium to overpower us. We have the ability to do well, we have good players with talent.”

Leupolz: “We're all looking forward to this competition”
“We have a good squad and big objectives this year. We're all looking forward to this competition. Through my experience, I hope to do my bit for the team and contribute to the success we want to achieve.”

Returning to Stamford Bridge
“I played for Chelsea for four years and coming back is special. They made some very good signings in the summer, like Lucy Bronze, who will bring a lot of experience. But we also have a young and talented squad. There will be two opposing styles of play.”

Does she feel more pressure by playing for Real Madrid?
“I don't see it as pressure, for me it's a privilege. Given the history of this club and this shirt, I'm proud to represent this crest every day.”
