Caroline Weir has been named Mahou Cinco Estrellas Player of the Month for September. The midfielder received the award in recognition of her outstanding performances in the five games she played for Real Madrid this month, in which the team won all their games and Weir bagged a brace in the first league game of the season. After collecting the trophy at Real Madrid City, the Madridista said: “We started the season well and I'd like to thank all the fans for their support. This award could've gone to a lot of players, I think the whole team has been great in this first month and we started the league strongly.”
