Field 11 of the Ciudad Real Madrid observed a minute of silence prior to the friendly match between Real Madrid and Madrid CFF, in memory of Franco Baresi, one of the greatest legends of Milan, Italian football, and world football. Additionally, our team's players wore black armbands during the match.
With Milan, Baresi played 719 matches and won 3 European Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 6 Italian League titles, and 4 Italian Super Cups. Furthermore, with the Italy national team, he participated in three World Cups and was crowned world champion in the 1982 Spain World Cup, during the unforgettable final at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
