The Alfredo Di Stéfano held a minute's silence prior to kick-off in the game between Real Madrid and Betis on Liga F matchday 26, in memory of Leo Beenhakker and Mario Vargas Llosa.
Leo Beenhakker, the legendary Real Madrid coach who took charge of our team between 1986 and 1989, and in 1992, passed away on 10 April at 82 years of age. Mario Vargas Llosa, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, was Academic Director of Real Madrid Universidad Europea. He passed away on 13 April at 89. Our players wore black armbands during the match.
