The two madridistas are on the list of 26 nominees for the best XI, chosen by professional footballers from around the world, which will be announced on 3 November.
Athenea and Linda Caicedo are among 26 candidates for the Women's FIFPRO World11 2025. The Real Madrid players are in the running to be part of the team, as voted for by professional footballers from around the world. The results will be unveiled on 3 November, from 2:00 pm CET, on FIFPRO's digital channels.
The best eleven is chosen based on players' performances from 11 August 2024, until 3 August 2025, under the condition they have made at least 20 competitive appearances in that time.
Olga Carmona among the nominees
Besides the two madridistas, also on the list is Olga Carmona, who played for Real Madrid up until May this year.
The 26-player shortlist:
Goalkeepers: Ann-Katrin Berger, Mary Earps and Hannah Hampton.
Defenders: Michelle Alozie, Ona Batlle, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Olga Carmona, Ellie Carpenter, Alex Greenwood and Leah Williamson.
Midfielders: Aitana Bonmatí, Ghizlane Chebbak, Debinha, Patricia Guijarro, Vicky López, Alexia Putellas, Ella Toone and Keira Walsh.
