Five Real Madrid players were crowned world champions with the Spanish national side at the Under-17 World Cup in India. Sofía and Carla Camacho were in the starting line-up, while Paula Partido, Olaya and Noe came off the bench in the second half to beat Colombia in the final held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai 0-1. The game was deiced by a Colombian own goal with 82 minutes gone following a move involving Paula.
The five madridistas also took part in the semi-final win over Germany 0-1. The Spaniards had previously finished second in their group ahead of Mexico and China and behind Colombia, and they also beat Japan in the quarter finals 1-2. Sofia, Paula Partido and Carla Camacho have played in all six matches.
