Goals from Olga and Athenea clinched the three points for our team on their visit to Seville.
Real Madrid beat Sevilla away on LaLiga matchday 28. A goal from Olga in the 30th minute and another from Athenea after a perfect counter-attack in the 83rd minute gave Toril's side their 23rd league win of the season and their fifth in a row. Our team remain second in the table with two games to go and host third-placed Levante next Saturday 12:00pm CET.
The game started with a lot of intensity and Madrid quickly took control of possession. Toril's team played in their opponents' half and after two dangerous moves from Linda and a shot from Feller that went high, the first goal would come. A great team effort saw Linda Caicedo assisting for Olga to beat the keeper with a diagonal shot 30'.
The madridista could have scored her second ten minutes later, but her shot from outside the area went wide. At the start of the second half, Sevilla came close to equalising with a couple of dangerous chances from Amanda Sampedro. It was a good few minutes for the opposition in a game that was becoming more even. However, Toril's side were still comfortable out there and looked to extend their lead.
