Real Madrid's 12th LaLiga win in 15 games against Granada sees them remain unbeaten at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Real Madrid started December on the right foot and kept up their great run of form. They regained the lead in LaLiga after beating Granada at the Santiago Bernabéu on matchday 15. Brahim gave our team the lead before the half-hour mark and Rodrygo, in the second half, did not miss his appointment with goal and found the back of the net for the fifth match in a row. Ancelotti's side secured their twelfth league win and are still unbeaten at home this term.
Neither team created any clear chances until the 26th minute, when Real Madrid found a gap in the opposition defence and made it 1-0. A perfect combination between Brahim and Kroos, who slipped a great pass to the unmarked Malaga man, who slotted a left-footed shot past the Granada goalkeeper.
Total domination
Madrid totally dominated the game and came close to extending their lead in the 42nd minute. Brahim was in the thick of the action again when he set up Bellingham with a lovely back-heel into space, but his left-footed cross-shot went narrowly wide. Before the break, the England midfielder claimed a penalty for a Miquel foul. Both González Fuertes and the VAR awarded no penalty.
Nothing changed after the break. Ancelotti's men continued to look for goal and Brahim tried a curling effort that went wide. The home side's efforts paid off in the 57th minute after a good team move. Joselu combined with Brahim, who shook off a challenge from Miquel and, after surging to the byline, slipped a pass back to Bellingham. His shot was parried by the goalkeeper, but Rodrygo was on hand to fire home with his right to make it 2-0. The Brazilian continued his goalscoring streak with seven goals in the last five games. From this point until the end, Ancelotti saved something in the tank by bringing on Ceballos, Gonzalo and Nico Paz and the league leaders took all three points at the Santiago Bernabéu.
