Huge win for Castilla in Cordoba

First win of the year for Real Madrid Castilla. Raúl's men prevailed in a great away match against fourth-placed Córdoba. Manuel Ángel put the Whites ahead in the 26th minute only for Diarra to equalise in the 83rd minute. However, David González restored Castilla's lead in stoppage time (91st minute). With their sixth win of the season, our team continues to move up the Primera Federación Group 2 table.
Córdoba came out with more intensity and almost took the lead twice in the first few minutes, but Castilla gradually managed to slow down the pace of the game. Madrid were waiting in their own half, looking for space to counter-attack. And that's precisely how the first goal came about. A great ball into space from Palacios left Álvaro with just Carlos Marín to beat. The goalkeeper managed to block the Uruguayan's shot, but a very sharp Manuel Ángel got on the end of the rebound to open the scoring in the 26th minute.

After the restart, Gonzalo could have extended the lead, but the home keeper stuck a toe out to deny a second. Álvaro would come close once again in the 61st minute with another dangerous move, but Carlos Marín was on hand to thwart his efforts.
David González deals deadly blow in stoppage time
Despite a great performance from the Madrid defence, the home side equalised in the 83rd minute through Diarra, who took advantage of a goalmouth scramble to make it 1-1. Castilla however, refused to give up and regained the lead in stoppage time. This time it was Theo who launched the counter-attack to set up David González, who finished perfectly to seal the win with the definitive 2-1.
