Real Madrid secured their fourth consecutive victory at the Bernabéu with two goals from the Frenchman and strikes from Carreras and Bellingham.
Real Madrid continues its winning streak at the Bernabéu. Mourinho's side confirmed their fourth consecutive triumph at our stadium after an excellent first half capped off by goals from Mbappé from the penalty spot, Carreras, and Bellingham. Just after the start of the second half, Camello reduced the deficit, but in added time, Mbappé sealed his brace, completing our team's emphatic victory.
The first quarter-hour of the match hadn't yet elapsed when Real Madrid took the lead. Carreras was clearly brought down by Lejeune inside the box, and Mbappé converted the penalty in the 14th minute. The same duo combined three minutes later to extend the lead. A precise one-two inside the area between Carreras and Mbappé was finished expertly by the former to make it 2-0.
Offensive Masterclass
The minutes ticked on, and Mourinho's team kept at it: creating clear goal-scoring opportunities. The next chance came midway through the first half. A powerful shot from Vini Jr. in the 25th minute was met with a great save by Audero, who quickly cleared the ball away when Mbappé was about to tap it into the net.
Our team was already a force to be reckoned with, and ten minutes later, they made it 3-0. A great combination between Bernardo and Vini Jr. led to a cross to the back where Bellingham finished with a precise first-time strike. That’s how the first half ended, although in the 45th minute, Mbappé almost scored again with a shot from the edge of the box that struck the post. In added time, Pedro Díaz attempted a long-range effort, but Courtois made a spectacular save.
Chances
The second half began as the first ended: with a powerful shot from Pedro Díaz, this time hitting the post in the 46th minute. Camello, however, scored five minutes later to reduce the gap. These were the visitors' best moments, but our team managed to quell their momentum by regaining possession and creating more chances. A great individual play by Vini Jr. ended with a tight shot from the edge of the box, forcing another excellent save from Audero in the 59th minute. The visiting goalkeeper was just as sharp 18 minutes later, denying two successive set-piece efforts delivered by Güler and headed by Dumfries and Rüdiger. The ball eventually hit the crossbar after his intervention on the first header.
Mbappé's Brace
Audero continued to shine and kept our team from scoring a fourth goal with some incredible saves, including an impressive stop in the 83rd minute from a beautifully struck, slightly angled volley by Mbappé. Earlier, in the 79th minute, Güler appealed for a penalty after being struck by Mujaid inside the box. In added time, Mbappé, assisted by Güler, scored his second with a precise first-time cross-shot. This marked the Frenchman’s seventh goal in six matches and the fourth victory in as many games at the Santiago Bernabéu.
