Real Madrid got the better of Celta at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in a match they dominated from start to finish. The league leaders keep their seven-point lead over second-placed Girona with 10 games to play in LaLiga. The first two goals arrived from set-pieces, with Modrić and Rüdiger both playing their part, but it was Vini Jr. and a Guaita own goal that did the damage. Late in the game, Carlos Domínguez, with another own goal, and debutant Arda Güler, made it 4-0.

A dominant start from our team, giving clear indications of why they're top of LaLiga, and after only three minutes they were already causing problems for the visitors, with a shot from Camavinga from the edge of the area that Guaita saved. Four minutes later, the same players were in the spotlight. Modrić swung in a corner and the Frenchman's header was again deflected wide by the Celta keeper. Ancelotti's side looked to continue to pose a threat to their opponents and the well-deserved breakthrough came from another set-piece. Modrić delivered a corner in the 21st minute and Rüdiger's header was saved creditably by Guaita, who again did well to keep out Vini Jr's shot, but was unable to keep out the Brazilian forward with his second attempt. The Madrid 7's goal-scoring exploits have seen him score in all three of Real Madrid's last three games (4 goals).

Chances
The visitors' most dangerous chance came at the end of the first half. Aspas whipped in a free-kick and Luca de la Torre's header at the far post missed the target. Nothing changed after the break and Madrid continued to create more and more chances. Vini Jr. linked up with Brahim inside the box and the ball ended up in Guaita's hands after the latter's 59th-minute effort. Shortly after Valverde's long-range effort missed the target by inches.

Another clean sheet at the Bernabéu in LaLiga
Ancelotti's
side continued to dominate, but the scoreline suggested that the game was not yet decided, but it was settled in the 79th minute with a second goal, from another set-piece. Modrić again took the corner and Rüdiger beat everyone to head the ball powerfully onto the crossbar and then into the body of Guaita before crossing the line. An own goal also made it 3-0. In the 88th minute, Vini Jr. sent in a cross, the goalkeeper failed to clear the ball and Carlos Domínguez, in his attempt to clear the ball, turned it into his own net. Arda Güler rounded off the scoring in stoppage time, following an assist from Ceballos, beating Guaita in a one-on-one and scoring his first goal as a Madrid player with his right foot. A win and the third consecutive game without conceding a goal at the Bernabéu in LaLiga.
