A place in the Champions League final will be decided at the Santiago Bernabéu after a thrilling first leg, which saw Real Madrid take the lead and then fight back from Bayern's two goals. Vini Jr. opened the scoring midway through the first half after a brilliant through ball from Kroos. In the second half, Bayern turned the score around with goals from Sané and Kane, from the penalty spot. But Ancelotti's men were not done yet and they equalised in the 83rd minute with a penalty converted by Vini Jr. The tie will now be decided at our stadium and in front of our fans on Wednesday, 8 May.

The game started with Bayern on top and in the first minute they had a golden opportunity to score, but Lunin did well to ensure Sané fired wide when the forward found himself one-on-one with the keeper. Madrid were on the back foot for the first quarter of an hour, but again showed their ability to adapt to the scenario and midway through the first half they were ahead. Kroos, who was enjoying another impressive display, received the ball in midfield in the 24th minute, spotted Vini Jr.'s run behind the defence, and put in a brilliant assist that the Brazilian converted to make it 1-0.

Chances
Things changed after the goal. Real Madrid began to hold onto the ball, building up longer stretches of possession and pinning Bayern back in their half. After the re-start, the game was two-way traffic. The Whites had the chance to extend their lead in the 51st minute when Vini Jr. started a counter-attack, which was continued by Bellingham and ended with Kroos's shot from the edge of the area, which brought out a fine save from Neuer. Two minutes later Bayern equalised through Sané's individual brilliance.

Vini Jr. bags a brace
The goal spurred on the home side, who then took the lead in the 56th minute when Kane converted a penalty after Lucas Vázquez had fouled Musiala. Things had become tricky in the space of just three minutes, but the madridistas had the opportunity to pull level in the 79th minute, after a very similar move to the one that had led to the goal. A superb pass from Modrić over the defence set Vini Jr. free, but this time he was denied by Neuer, who kept his side ahead. Four minutes later the goalkeeper was unable to follow suit. Vini Jr. produced a lovely piece of skill on the edge of the box and laid the ball off to Rodrygo, who was brought down inside the area by Kim Min-Jae as he was about to turn. Vini Jr. converted the spot-kick to bag a brace and level the contest. The tie will be decided at the Bernabéu next Wednesday and players and the fans will be hoping to make it through to the final.
