LaLiga's top scorer bagged both goals for Real Madrid, who turned around Gundogan's early opener in the second half to stay at the top of the league.
Real Madrid came from behind to win a thrilling Clásico after Gündoğan's goal had put Barca ahead at half-time, but Bellingham turned the game around in a superb second half. He equalised in the 68th minute with a spectacular strike from outside the area and then sealed all three points for the leaders in stoppage time, latching on to Modrić's ball inside the six-yard box. Our team is now four points clear of Barcelona.
The Clásico got off to the worst possible start. Gündoğan put Barcelona ahead on seven minutes, taking advantage of two deflections to beat Kepa one-on-one. The home side threatened again nine minutes later when Fermín's shot from inside the area hit the post. We had to react at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys and Rüdiger attempted to do just that with a long-range effort in the 22nd minute. Carvajal also tried to catch the keeper off guard with a cross-shot that hit the side-netting in the 38th minute.
Superb second half
The second half was a whole different story, opening with a Madrid chance, but Rodrygo's fierce shot inside the area flew over in the 47th minute. Barcelona responded with an Íñigo Martínez header onto the post, before Kepa's impressive reflexes kept out Araujo's follow-up. From that point, our team took control of the Clásico, Kroos coming close to an equaliser with a shot from the edge of the area that ended up in Ter Stegen's gloves in the 58th minute.
Bellingham strikes
Ancelotti brought on Luka Modric for his 500th appearance, alongside Joselu, and five minutes later our boys tried their luck again with a Tchouameni effort, which was met by Ter Stegen's fantastic diving save. Real Madrid were enjoying their best spell and got their reward in the 68th minute when Bellingham's powerful right-footed drive from 25 metres finally beat the home side's goalkeeper.
There were just over 20 minutes left on the clock and both teams were going in search of the winning goal. The side that really went for it would ultimately take the three points - and it was Real Madrid. In injury time, Carvajal crossed into the area and Modrić touched the ball nicely into the path of Bellingham, who made no mistake with the finish. It's his tenth goal in the competition, making him LaLiga top scorer, and his thirteenth this season, to ensure Madrid remain top of the table.
