2-0: Madrid beat Celta at the Bernabéu

Real Madrid's sixth win in seven games in April against Celta is evidence that the Whites continue in excellent form. Asensio, in the final minutes of the first half, and Militão, with an assist from the Balearic player at the start of the second, scored the goals for our team, who finished with a clean sheet for the fourth game in a row.
 
Ancelotti's side were clearly superior in the first half, but struggled to generate any real danger against Celta. The clearest chances until Asensio's goal came with two shots from the edge of the area. The first was from the Balearic player in the 21st minute but his shot narrowly missed the target after coming off Unai Núñez. The second was from Ceballos seven minutes later but the ball went inches wide.

Indeed, it was the Andalusian midfielder who instigated the move that opened the scoring in the 42nd minute. Ceballos played in Vini Jr. who precisely cut the ball back to Asensio, and the Spaniard fired the ball into the top corner from the penalty spot.

The second half began in the best possible way for the madridistas, as the hosts doubled their lead the gap from corner kick. With 48 minutes on the clock, Asensio swung the ball into the danger zone and Militão rose highest to head home the opener. The Whites almost added a third on 61’ when Vini Jr. crossed for Benzema to head goalwards only to be denied by Iván Villar. Celta looked to get back into the clash and went close to reducing the deficit when Courtois had to be at his best to thwart an effort from Aspas, as the striker found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper 78’. Madrid managed the game well after that and kept the visitors at bay to remain unbeaten in six of their last seven outings in April.
