Real Madrid wrapped up May with a victory in their final away fixture in LaLiga. The Whites defeated Sevilla with a superb performance from Rodrygo, who bagged a brace at the Sánchez-Pizjuán. The Andalusian side went ahead in the third minute, but just before the half-hour mark the Brazilian equalised with a freekick. In the second half, the forward sealed the win for Ancelotti's side after a superb piece of skill.
Real Madrid soon found themselves behind in the game. Militão blocked a shot from de Bryan Gil and the rebound fell kindly inside the area to a Rafa Mir, who put the hosts ahead. The madridistas looked to get back on level terms and in the 14th minute a fine pass from Ceballos from the right picked out Lucas V., and the full-back crossed to the far post for the onrushing Rodrygo, but the Brazilian narrowly missed the target.

Sevilla had two chances to go in front after the restart. First with a deflected shot from Rafa Mir and, shortly afterwards, Rakitić tried his luck from the edge of the area. In the 61st minute, it was Madrid who threatened with an Alaba shot that went over the bar following a corner.
Rodrygo's brace
Real Madrid wanted more and did not wait to make it 2-1. A lightning-quick counter-attack was started by Modrić and Kroos, who played a great through ball for Rodrygo. The Brazilian cut inside to the box, faced Montiel and beat him with some fancy footwork to set up his right-footed shot for his second.
Four minutes later, Álvaro could have extended the lead when he headed wide from a Kroos freekick. As the minutes ticked away, Mendilibar's men were reduced to ten men in the 83rd minute after Acuña was shown a straight red card for a tackle on Ceballos. From then until the end, Ancelotti's men dominated the game, picking up their 24th league win.
