Mazzari: “The test against Real Madrid will be very tough”
“The Santiago Bernabéu is a beautiful stadium and we're up against a very strong team,” said Di Lorenzo.
Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri and team captain Di Lorenzo appeared in the Santiago Bernabéu press room ahead of the clash between Real Madrid and Napoli on matchday five of the Champions League group stage (9pm CET). The coach had the following to say: "Napoli is always associated with good football. I have to help these youngsters to get back to last year's level. What we saw in the first half in Bergamo is the way forward. The test against Real Madrid will be much tougher."
"Ancelotti has to stay for ever because he's an exquisite person, I respect him a lot, he's a great coach, the one who has won the most Champions League trophies. Doubting him is pointless. There are only good words to say.”
Praise for Bellingham
"At this level you can't do a ranking of the best because there are so many in form. Bellingham is an excellent player who can become a top one, but it's always a team that wins, never just one player."
Victor Osimhen
"We'll see if he can play a full half because we can't take any risks with such an important player who could get injured. I have to talk to him and see if he can start the game."
Di Lorenzo: “Real Madrid have some great champions”
"Real Madrid have some great champions in the team, although they have injuries, but with those who will be on the pitch they'll be a strong team. I'll keep an eye on my part of the pitch, I don't know if it's Bellingham or Rodrygo, but it won't be a job on my own, we're a team and we all have to defend together.”
Bellingham
"He's a huge champion, a very strong player. It's surprising the impact he's had on a team as strong as Real Madrid at such a young age. He already has a lot of experience and we'll certainly have to keep an eye on him.”
The Santiago Bernabéu
"For me, it's the first time at the Bernabéu, it's a beautiful stadium. We're up against a very strong team with a Champions League atmosphere. It'll be a great game to play, the kind you dream about. We have to put emotions aside and focus on the match.
