Ancelotti: “It's an important week and we're well prepared for it”
NEWS.
Carlo Ancelotti spoke in the press room at Real Madrid City the day before the clash with Sevilla at the Sánchez-Pizjuán, on matchday 10 of LaLiga Saturday, 6.30pm CET. The coach had the following to say: “The team's doing well, those who have returned are in good condition. The players from South America have recovered well and have trained well. Everyone's available, including Alaba, who has recovered from his injury. We've had a slight problem with Ceballos on Thursday and he won't be available. It's an important week and we think we're well prepared for it.”

“The team's on a good run and it's going to be an important week, starting tomorrow. But we're well prepared for it. I'm worried about quite a few things this week. The Sevilla game will be very demanding. They’ve changed coach they have a lot of quality in their squad. It's going to be a tough match. I'm more concerned that we might've forgotten what we did before the international break. We were playing well and I hope we can get back to the same level.”

Sacrifice
“It's important to know where each player wants to play. Sometimes the demands of the team mean that some players have to make sacrifices. Camavinga, Tchouameni or Rodrygo have done that. Rodrygo is a complete forward and can play in the centre, as he did at Napoli. My idea is that the team's demands come first and then the individual's. When I put Camavinga at left-back I told him and none of my players disagreed. I put Sergio Ramos in a defensive-midfield position in one game and he didn't like it, but he did it for the team. There is only one word to explain this: altruism.”

Fixture calendar
“All coaches are a bit selfish. Everyone has their role, but I don't like to talk about it. The German national team thought Rüdiger had to play, but he came back. He was tired, but he recovered in time. We can't complain, but the fixture schedule is too tight.”

Valverde, Vini Jr. and Rodrygo
ValverdeVini Jr. and Rodrygo seem to have recovered well and are fresh. I have to think about it for tomorrow, but they're ready to start and finish the game. I have a good look at everyone.”

Arda Güler
“Arda has been doing pretty well. He lacks a bit of fitness, but he'll get his chance. I think he’ll be ready in 10 or 15 days. He's an attacking player and can play in every position. He’s not a centre forward. He’s a number 10 because of his characteristics, but he can also play out wide. He can play in other positions.

“Everyone spends a lot of time talking about Arda because he's so young. He has all the time in the world to succeed here. He's almost ready and prepared to do well.”

Future
“I’m very happy at Real Madrid. I'm a bit selfish because that allows me to do my job well. I'm not talking about my future because my future lies in tomorrow's game, Wednesday's game and the Clásico.”

Act at Parma University
“I will remember the emotion of this event. I was very happy to return to Parma, where my whole career, my hopes and my desire all began. There are a lot of rumours, but everything will soon be cleared up.”

Rotations
“In the San Mames game I wanted to see what the young players could bring to the midfield. I didn't need to think about rotations because we had time to prepare for the games. Now with games every three days and to motivate other players, I haven't repeated this midfield. Although it could be repeated.”

Sergio Ramos
“I love seeing him and saying hello. Obviously, all the players I've had I'm very fond of, and I am especially of him. If he hadn't scored in the final in Lisbon, I probably wouldn't be here. For everything he's done, I think everyone's very fond of him, especially me. He’ll have a great game because he’s got real quality. If he scores a goal, he can do whatever he wants.”

Referees
“I don't know if there was a VOR room, but I don't want to go into this issue. There are more important matters and I try to let the refereeing profession work as best as possible. At the moment there's a lot of pressure.”

Laporta’s comments
“I've heard these statements. There's no need to deflect the issue. There's a very serious matter and the justice system is investigating this case. We have to let it do its job. All words are a way of diverting the shot. This isn't good at the judicial level.”
