Ancelotti: 'If I say what I think about the refereeing, I'll get a heavy suspension.'
NEWS.
Carlo Ancelotti was interviewed by Realmadrid TV at the end of Sevilla-Real Madrid and analysed the match and the refereeing that the team suffered: 'Irony is the only way after this match because I think that if I say what I think about the refereeing I'll receive a lot of games' suspension. What I like most at the moment is to sit on the Real Madrid bench. So, to avoid suspensions I don't say what I think and I use a bit of irony.'

'It was a very competitive and difficult match. We started well. We came close to scoring in the first half. We scored two goals that were disallowed. The second half was more even and competitive because we lowered our energy and had more difficulties.'

The result
'It's not bad. Obviously we always try to win, but a point at a ground like this and against a team this difficult is good. We kept going. We didn't give up when they scored and we equalised early on. The first half was good and there were chances to take the lead.'

Three games in seven days
'After the break I tried to take minutes away from those who came back on Thursday. On Tuesday we'll be better physically and we're focused on Tuesday's game in order to gain an advantage in the Champions League group stage.'

Ancelotti also appeared in the Sánchez-Pizjuán press room, where he declared: 'It was a spectacular game. It was competitive, with intensity. We played better in the first half than in the second. We started well, but we didn't make the most of the chances we had. In the second half we struggled a bit more and Sevilla were more intense. The result is fair.'

'In the first half Rodrygo and Vini Jr., with the help of the team, created a lot of chances and we didn't score by the skin of our teeth. The second half was more complicated, we suffered more and we lacked energy. The rival put a lot of energy into their game. I'm satisfied with the team because we tried until the end, bearing in mind that there are some tricky games coming up after the international break.'

On the referee's performance
'He played a good game and got everything right. He stopped the counter-attack to preserve the health of a player and he had a good game. I liked him 100%. It was a match with a lot of clashes and I think he made the right decision in all of them. At the end of the game I asked him for explanations because he had cautioned me and I didn't know why. I was talking to Camavinga. I haven't spoken to the players, but I'm very happy with his refereeing.'

Vini Jr.
'He tried many times and he has come up against an opponent, Navas, who has defended very well. He came back from international duty on Thursday and that's why I changed him. He was involved in a fight in which there were 15 players and the referee did well to separate the two teams.'

Rodrygo's performance
'He was one of the best, if not the best of the team. He had two or three clear chances, he shot more than anyone else and he tried everything. He didn't score, but the important thing is that he continues to play well.'

Substitutions cancelled after the equaliser
'The equaliser changed the team's thinking and we decided to be more balanced, without risking so much.'

Sergio Ramos
'I was delighted to see him and greet him. I wish him all the best.'
