Ancelotti: “Everyone made a huge effort”
“We managed to make up for the loss of some very important players with a good collective attitude,” added the Real Madrid coach.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu and discussed Real Madrid’s victory over Mallorca, on matchday 36 of LaLiga: "The team fought hard and played with intensity, especially in the second half. We thoroughly deserved the victory. Everyone made a huge effort and we're pleased because we want to finish the season well."
"The game didn't start well, but after that the team did really well in all respects. They didn't give up despite the difficulty. Having 12 players injured is quite rare and we managed to make up for the loss of some very important players with a good collective attitude. I've never seen a team shoot 40 times at goal like we did today.”
Penultimate game at the Bernabéu
“Whenever I sit on the Bernabéu bench, it's always special. It has been a special night like all the others.”
Attitude and commitment
“The team was amazing tonight. We put in an extraordinary effort. If we had done that in every game, it might have been a better season.”
Possibilities of winning the league
“We want to do our job, which is to win the next matches and see what happens. Our task today was not to give away the league. They'll have to play tomorrow. Anything can happen in football. If they win, we'll congratulate them and if they don't, we'll stay in the fight.”
Goals in stoppage time
“The day I leave Real Madrid I will leave with the peace of mind that I've done everything I could've done. I've had a great time. Football doesn't end and I hope my teams can try to win until the last second, as we have always done here.”
40 shots on goal
“We did well offensively. We struggled a bit more because we didn't have a big striker. In this type of match you have to dig in a bit more to win. But the weakness was not up front. We have conceded too many goals this season for many reasons. First of all, we have been missing four or five defenders most of the season.”

Difficulties
“The management of the group has been fairly simple. On a personal level, there have been no problems at all. All the players have shown me the necessary respect. The problems we've had haven't been for that reason. Not because of mismanagement, not because of any of that nonsense. We have lacked balance on the pitch and we have been hit hard by injuries and we have not been able to fix the emergency as we did last season.”
On Vallejo
"He has played very little but his attitude has always been first class every day and in every training session. Maybe he deserved to play more, but it was difficult because, as I have said before, we have decided to give priority to young players like Asencio."
Víctor Muñoz
“I spoke to him and I saw he was a bit affected after the Clásico. I told him not to think about what he'd missed, but to think about scoring the next one. That's what a young player has to think about. In football, you make mistakes. Everyone has missed, even the greatest. The next chance he gets, because he's a very good player, he'll score.”
How many players can you get back for Sunday?
"Tchouameni for sure. The doubts are Vini Jr, Lucas, Brahim and Lunin, who was stamped on yesterday and could recover. Hopefully, we can get four of them back."
