NEWS.
Madrid fans experienced one of the most special moments in their history in Amsterdam 25 years ago. Real Madrid beat Juventus in the final of the European Cup thanks to a goal by Mijatovic and once again lifted a trophy that they had not won since 1966. The epic nature of the victory was even greater as they had to overcome the Italian team, who had reached the final for the third year in a row.

Real Madrid topped the group stage up until 20 May 1998 by beating Rosenborg, Olympiacos and Porto. In the subsequent knockout rounds, our team eliminated two German opponents: Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, who were the previous champions. Karembeu, who arrived midway through the season, was key in both ties with three goals.
