Valverde: “I'm delighted to have scored another goal at our stadium in front of the fans”
“There are two weeks of effort, hard work and dedication to football,” said the scorer of the third goal for Real Madrid.
Fede Valverde struck the third goal for Real Madrid against Alavés when he clinically finished off a fine team move. The Uruguayan spoke to Realmadrid TV after the clash: “We're really pleased. Playing relaxed and knowing that we've won the league even though there's still a very important game to play. When you play like this you enjoy it a lot because there's no pressure. You enjoy the atmosphere, the game and it was a great night.”
“I hit the ball with everything I had. It went in and I'm delighted to have scored another goal at our stadium in front of the fans. It's a tremendous feeling for my family and for all of us who fight. Let's enjoy it.”
Champions League final
“We have to take it one step at a time, there are two weeks of effort, hard work and dedication to football. It's the most important club game of the year. We have to face it in the right way and enjoy it. We have to be proud of where we have got to because it was a hard road and make the most of every moment and every day. We have to enjoy it.”
Another clean sheet
“Above all, I'd like to mention the goalkeepers, who are the ones who have the responsibility of being the last man. They defend the Real Madrid crest and always carry the pressure that, if we make a mistake, they have to stick their necks out. First we have to thank them and then try to defend this badge as much as possible. If we keep clean sheets, we'll be able to win more easily.”
Connection between Vini Jr. and Bellingham
“As team-mates, we enjoy it as much as possible. We try to make them perform especially in attack and try to score goals or provide assists. We want them to add what they know how to do for the team and we try to support them from the back and stay together. We have to give them as much energy as possible so that they work as little as possible in defence and so that they are fresh in attack.”
