Real Madrid captured the Decimotercera in Kiev and Sergio Ramos expressed his joy in the aftermath of the game: "We knew it'd be a game full of challenges and that Liverpool would make our lives tough, but this team has once again shown its hunger and the desire to keep on winning. This is an exceptional side, a legendary team, and what we've done will go down in history. We've got to appreciate what we've achieved here".

"The aim was to try and nullify the three really dangerous players they've got up top and we managed to do that. They made things difficult for us right from the outset, but we imposed our game and managed to keep the ball well, particularly after the break. Bale scored a stunning goal, the sort that defines an era and it was a fair result".

Modric: "Every title is special and we’ve now won three of these consecutively, it’s very important. Next year the final is in Madrid and we will prepare well to try and make it, but for the moment we have to enjoy this one".

'We’re very happy and I want to thank the fans for their support, we've made history'.

Casemiro: 'I'm very happy, we have to congratulate all the players. We must keep working hard and fighting because what we’re doing isn’t normal. We didn’t start the game well, but we knew how to dig in and in the second half we were better. What this squad is achieving is historic, we have to celebrate it'.

Kroos: 'It's incredible that we've won the Champions League three times in a row. We know just how tough it is to win this competition, ordinarily it would be impossible to do what we've done. We've got a lot of character, it's not all just about our quality. There are many sides in Europe with real quality, but that hunger and spirit … I've said throughout this last year that nothing is beyond this team. We've managed to do it again and are really pleased'.

Isco: 'It'll be really difficult to win four Champions League crowns, but nothing is impossible at this club and we've once again proved that. I'm really proud of this team, which shows day in, day out that the sky is the limit. It's been a long and tough road, but Real Madrid are the kings of Europe. Everyone wants to win the Champions League and this season it's ours once again. This triumph is for our fans, we fight to make them happy and the Decimotercera is on its way back to Madrid'.

Nacho: 'We're legends and have written our names into the history books. We're proud of the team, the fans and the coaching staff. It's never nice to come on for a teammate who's injured and even less so when it's Carvajal, who's like a brother to me. He's a fighter and is a strong character, I'm sure that he'll be back with us very soon. We're lucky to have Bale in our team, he came on at the right time and scored a tremendous goal'.
