The Brazilian sustained the injury on 9 November 2024 in a game against Osasuna at the Bernabéu, on matchday 13 of LaLiga. Ten days later, he underwent surgery and, from then on, began a long recovery process that has culminated in his return to the pitch against PSG. After several weeks of training with his teammates, Militão started the match on the bench, and in the 64th minute, he replaced Asencio.
