With 31 goals in LaLiga and 62 points in the standings, the Frenchman has become European football’s top scorer for the first time.
Kylian Mbappé ended the season as the league's top scorer, winning the Pichichi Trophy. He has also won the Golden Boot for the first time in his career as the top scorer in European leagues. The Real Madrid striker has scored 31 goals in the domestic competition, which gives him 62 points in the continental ranking, more than any other player. With this achievement, he becomes the third player from the club to win the award, after Hugo Sánchez (1989-90) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2010-11, 2013-14 and 2014-15).

Mbappé, who has scored 31 goals in LaLiga - six more than Lewandowski - joins a list of 15 Madrid players who have won the Pichichi Trophy throughout history: Olivares, Pahíño, Di Stéfano (5 times), Puskas (4), Amancio (2), Juanito, Hugo Sánchez (4), Butragueño, Zamorano, Raúl (2), Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo (3), Benzema and Mbappé himself. In his first season at Real Madrid, the French striker has now scored 43 goals in all competitions... and there is still the Club World Cup to come.
