We won our first European Super Cup 22 years ago
Real Madrid beat Feyenoord 3-1 at the Louis II stadium in Monaco on 30 August 2002.

It was 22 years ago that Real Madrid added the first European Super Cup to their trophy cabinet. The Whites beat Feyenoord (3-1) at the Louis II stadium in Monaco, after winning la Novena in Glasgow that year with goals from Raúl and Zidane's historic volley.
Against Feyenoord, Real Madrid took an early lead: in the 15th minute, Paauwe deflected Roberto Carlos' left-wing cross into his own net. Six minutes later, the Brazilian full-back was at the heart of the action again, making it 2-0 from inside the box.
The Dutch pulled one back with a Van Hooijdonk free-kick, but Guti sealed the title in the 60th minute with a header to make it 3-1. Real Madrid have won six Super Cups in the competition in six different cities: Monaco, Cardiff, Trondheim, Skopje, Helsinki and Warsaw.
