Florentino Pérez chairs madridistas Supporters' Club event in Rabat
“Your strength, your commitment and your passion help us to overcome the challenges we face each season', reflected the president at the event.

The Palais des Congrès Bouregreg in Rabat has hosted a meeting of madridista Supporter Clubs in the build-up to the team's Club World Cup final clash with Al Hilal tonight 8:00pm CET. Florentino Pérez presided over the event attended by around 50 representatives from different Real Madrid Supporters' Clubs. Following a video recalling the historic comebacks on the way to La Decimocuarta, the president took to the microphone and led a minute's silence for the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
Then, following a standing ovation, Florentino Pérez addressed the fans: “I want to express our deepest gratitude for the enormous affection you show us every time we visit this nation. Our crest and our jersey plays a hugely important role in your lives. Your strength, your commitment and your passion help us to overcome the challenges we face each season. We are united by the same universal feeling based on certain values: hard work, sacrifice, respect, humility, solidarity and something we all witnessed together over last season: at Real Madrid, we never give up”.
Madridista feeling
“Real Madrid is the most decorated club in football history but first and foremost, it is a way of understanding life. It is having an attitude which allows you to meet difficulties with a conviction that when we remain united, we can continue to build this legend that is Real Madrid. That is how we got our hands on the fourteenth European Cup. It's our fifth Champions League title in the last nine seasons. Five Champions Leagues that belong to you as well".
Support in the final
“Dear madridistas, you're here in Rabat today to help us win what will be a hard-fought final. At this event, you're representing almost 50 Supporters' Clubs, including those from Morocco. You've also made the trip from Spain and many other countries where the madridista feeling continues to grow day by day”.
Historic period
“We are currently sharing in one of the greatest winning cycles in our 120-year history. But what we madridistas had the chance to experience last season on the way to the Decimocuarta will live long in the memories of every madridista and everyone else who loves this sport'.
Following his speech, Florentino Pérez handed Real Madrid jerseys over to the presidents of each Supporter Club. The event was concluded with a family photo of the fans alongside madridista legends Emilio Butragueño, Roberto Carlos and Santiago Solari.
