Real Madrid to visit the Almaty Ortalyk Stadıon for the first time
It was opened in 1958 and has a capacity of 24,000.
Real Madrid are set to face Kairat Almaty in the second game of the Champions League league (6:45 pm CEST), in what will be our team's first ever visit to the Almaty Ortalyk Stadion.
The multiuse stadium, split into four stands, has a capacity of 24,000 fans. It was initially opened in 1958, and renovated in 2011. In 1960 it became home to Kairat Almaty, a historic moment given it was the first stadium in Kazakhstan to host League games in the Soviet Union. The debut fixture for the Kazakh team at the Almaty Ortalyk Stadion came against Club Admiralteyets (Leningrad), and it ended 0-0.
